How the Season Works

Right now the Seven Cities Series crowns its Divisional Champion. As new franchises join, Divisional Champions will meet in the SvS Playoffs and the SvS SUPER MIC Championship.

Step 1

Each Franchise Is a Division

Each franchise operates as its own division, fielding a roster of 8 or 12 Music-Sports Athletes who represent that franchise all season.

Step 2

Players Compete Within Their Division

The three Regular Season games are conducted in a “Competitive Playlist” format, featuring songs streamed through Spotify or Apple Music or played directly via MP3. Players earn Ranking Points (RPs) based on combined public and judges’ scores, which determine individual Player rankings and overall divisional standings throughout the Regular Season.

Step 3

Divisional Championship

At the end of the regular season, the top 8 players based on the final rankings clinch a Divisional Playoff berth, a live in-person seeded tournament that crowns the Divisional Champion.

SvS Playoffs (National Level)

As we're building toward a 16-franchise league, Divisional Champions clinch a national-level playoff berth (SvS Playoffs) to go after the SUPER MIC Championship.
