Submission Rules
Completed Artist Profile (§7)
A completed SvS Artist Profile is required before submitting a petition.
Age Requirement (§6)
IA Division: must be at least 18 years old on the petition submission date. AI Division: no age requirement.
DMV Territory / Residential Waiver (§8)
IA prospects must live within DC, MD, VA (DMV) territory unless they agree to sign a Residential Waiver. See the full Residential Waiver Policy.
One Franchise Per Cycle (§11)
A prospect may petition only one franchise/division per Draft cycle.
One Song Required (§13)
Submit 1 song, a second song is optional. Songs must be original, clean/radio-edited versions, no remixes, no unprotected samples, no featured artists and be listed on Spotify or Apple Music.
Code of Conduct (§17)
Accept the SvS Draft Prospect Code of Conduct, including sportsmanship and truthful application.
Fees
Submissions are free. If selected to the Live Performance Evaluation Round, a $25 one-time Evaluation Fee is required. If drafted to the 12-player roster, a one-time $100 roster fee is required.
Submission Freeze (§16)
Submissions close on November 29th. A maximum of 50 submissions will be accepted; if 50 submissions are reached before the deadline, submissions are closed. Petitions are frozen after the window closes, with no edits.
Online Evaluations Round (§4)
The Online Evaluations Round runs December 1st through December 12th. 20 independent artists will be selected from online evaluations to advance to the Live Performance Evaluation Round.
Live Performance Evaluation Round (§4)
Held January 29th. The 20 selected independent artists perform live to determine their draft stock.
Draft Day (§3)
January 30th, following the Live Performance Evaluation Round. A 3-Round Draft to select the 2027 Seven Cities Series roster.
Fees (IA Division)
Live Evaluation Fee — $25
Due if you're selected to the Live Performance Evaluation Round (20 IA Division artists).
Player Roster Fee — $100
Due if you're drafted (12 IA Division artists).

Independent Artist Profile (§7)

Residence (private eligibility data — §10)
Headshot required. A clear, front-facing photo of your head and shoulders with your face fully visible and evenly lit — like the example shown. No group photos, distant shots, sunglasses, or heavily filtered images. Required to continue.
